Our Vision in 60 seconds
What We Do
We deliver hope in a backpack.
Hope Carrier is on a mission to get kids in school. We provide backpacks filled with essential school supplies, a copy of the book of John and a series of lessons designed to build character and create a life in Jesus.
We build strong communities.
Every bag is manufactured in India in partnership with local vendors who provide a safe working environment and employ local women. When women work, children go to school.
We create jobs.
All school supplies are locally sourced in each region of delivery. This is a key part of our vision to create community wealth and stability by partnering with small businesses and hiring from within the community to oversee inventory and delivery of each bag to a local child.
Who We Are
We believe in education, community and Jesus. With 264 million children out of school globally, it is our mandate as faith-filled communities to find solutions that work to lift children out of poverty and into a life with Jesus.
Our team has combined experience that spans decades working in humanitarian aid in Asia and Africa. We launched Hope Carrier to address a seemingly trivial obstacle keeping kids from attending school — a lack of school supplies. With our intricate distribution networks across India, Thailand and South Africa, we’re uniquely positioned to deliver hope to vulnerable children and families.
We are passionate about getting kids in school, introducing them to Jesus and building stronger communities along the way. When you partner with us and donate school supplies, it paves the way to a promising tomorrow.
The world is a complicated place filled with great need.
When we work together we can change the world.
In 2000, world leaders came together at the United Nations headquarters and committed to combat the world’s most pressing problems. The Millennium Development Goals span a variety of complex issues including poverty, infant mortality, hunger, access to education, water and more. Although, not all of the goals were met in their entirety by the 2015 goal, the global village has made enormous strides to bring equity to a complex world.
Get Involved
Support a Child
When families struggle financially, school supplies cannot be a priority. When you purchase a backpack you are directly supporting that student and creating opportunity for a child in need.
